This shake is often a go-to breakfast for me. It’s loaded with beneficial nutrients, including loads of fiber and plenty of protein. This shake sustains me for quite a long time, too.
- 1 to 2 cups plant-based milk (soy for extra protein!)
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
- 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
- 3 tablespoons hempseeds
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter powder (or peanut butter)
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- A drizzle of maple syrup or a couple of pitted dates for a touch of sweetness (optional)

Add all the ingredients to blender and blend until smooth. Best when consumed immediately after making as the flaxseed becomes gelatinous if allowed to sit.
